Low Season Artist Projects is a unique artist-run residency program that collaborates with local Block Island institutions to encourage community engagement during Block Island’s Low Season. In partnership with the Block Island Arts Council and the Old Town Inn, Low Season provides visiting artists with dedicated time and space to explore the island’s dynamic landscape, ecology, and multi-faceted history, while fostering meaningful connections with the local community.

Artist Residency

Low Season is designed by artists for artists. We seek to build a growing network of like-minded creatives and community members willing to share their practice and time.

What is Low Season?

During the Low Season, the crowds have suddenly disappeared and the quietness of the landscape reveals itself to the few who remain.
