Each year, two artists are selected for a residency on Block Island during the Low Season—one in the spring and one in the fall. In exchange for accommodation and a stipend, the artists lead a workshop for local students and offer an artist talk or open studio event for the community. Artists are also offered a virtual studio visit with a guest critic. Low Season Artist Projects aims to foster a dynamic network of artists and critics to support the growth of their practices.
